William ’Bill’ Hutson
Inducted into STYSA Hall of Fame: Houston, July 2003 
Soccer Experience:  
  • Instrumental in the establishment of the Deer Park Youth Soccer Club as an offshoot of the local Optimist Club in 1978
  • Coached in the local club as it grew to become the East Belt Youth Soccer Club.
  • Served as President of East Belt Youth Soccer in the mid-80’s
  • Served as Bay Area’s Director of Coaching Development from 1986 to 1989
  • Became President of Bay Area Youth Soccer Association in 1989 and served through spring of 1993
  • Served as Treasurer of Bay Area Youth Soccer Association from 1994 to present
  • Served on the STYSA Recreation Committee from 1996 through 2002 and chaired the committee from 1998 to 2002
  • Spearheaded the effort in 1995 to open the door for soccer with the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF), the state’s organization for Parks and Recreation Departments. The "Totally Texas Soccer Tournament" became a reality
