2014 DIRECTORS CUP
A South Texas State Competition

Directors Cup is an open entry competition for all Division II and Division III teams along with Super II teams that did not qualify for Presidents Cup.  This competitions is open to U11 through U19 boys and girls teams.  In 2014 the U11 and U12 age groups will have two brackets, "United" and "Classic".  The top 8 Super II teams will be seeded in the United bracket, along with other teams that opt to enter the United bracket.  The Classic bracket is meant for all other Super II and Division II teams.  Division III teams will typically enter South Texas Cup.  The entry fee for the 2014 Directors Cup will be $625 for the Eastern District and $400 for the Western District.

To Register, please follow the below steps:
1)  Check the Pre-Qualification List (above) to see which Cup your team is pre-qualified for.  Your team may not enter a lower competition than your team is qualified for (i.e. State Cup qualified teams may not enter Presidents Cup).
2)  Read the ENTRY LETTER (West, East) in order to see play dates, format, cost, etc.  By registering you are confirming you team is available for all the play dates posted.  UIL conflicts will be worked out, should that become necessary.
4)  Determine if your team wants to Challenge into a higher Cup competition.  This option will be presented during registration.

UPDATE: U17 Boys Western District Advancment

U17 Boys Western District Advancment Update: 1 Group of 6, 1 Group of 3.  Groups will play cross-bracket, which means Group A will play all the teams in Group B...teams will not play other teams within their same group. The top 4 point earners between the 2 groups will advance to the District Playoffs.  For the group only playing 3 games (Group A), points will be weighted to account for 6 games. The three game point total will be multiplied by 2 in order to obtain the 6 game weighted point total. The District Playoffs will use the following format: 1v4, 2v3.  The winner of each playoff match will advance to the State Finals Weekend, May 10-11.

UPDATE: 4/18/14 - Locations for Eastern and Western District Playoffs and State Finals have been scheduled.

December 20, 2013: Directors Cup Registration Opens

January 23, 2014: Directors Cup Cup Entry and Payment Deadline

February 6, 2014:  Roster Freeze Date for ALL teams involved in Challenge Matches.  No changes are allowed to rosters after this date. Teams may only consist of officially rostered players. Use of the Club Pass system is prohibited during Challenge Matches.

February 8/9, 2014: Challenge Match Date for those U13-U14 teams challenging into a higher Cup.  The lowest seeded Presidents Cup U13-U14 teams should be prepared to play on this date, should a Directors Cup team challenge.  The State Office will contact the teams involved.

February 18, 2014: Roster Freeze Date for U11-U14 teams - No changes are allowed to rosters after this date. Teams may only consist of officially rostered players. Use of the Club Pass system is prohibited during the Directors Cup.

February 22, 2014: Roster Freeze Date for U15 - U19 Eastern District teams - 1 week prior to the first scheduled date of play. No changes are allowed to rosters after this date. Teams may only consist of officially rostered players. Use of the Club Pass system is prohibited during the Directors Cup.

March 15, 2014: Roster Freeze Date for U15 - U19 Western District teams - 1 week prior to the first scheduled date of play. No changes are allowed to rosters after this date. Teams may only consist of officially rostered players. Use of the Club Pass system is prohibited during the Directors Cup.

February 22/23, 2014: Challenge Match Date for those U15-U19 teams challenging into a higher Cup.  The lowest seeded Presidents Cup U15-U19 teams should be prepared to play on this date, should a Directors Cup team challenge.  The State Office will contact the teams involved.

Play Begins for the U11 and U14 age groups.

March 1/2, 2014: District Play Begins (for the U15-U19 age groups).
