PLW / SCL Promotion and Relegation

STYSA will use the following promotion and relegation format to select teams, which will promote/relegate to/from PLW, and SCL for the following Fall 2013 season.

The lowest finishing PLW team will play the highest finishing SCL team.

Dates: December 1 & 2, 2012

Location: Cross-district games (Girls-East, Boys-West); Same-district games will be played in district

Game Format: 2 game aggregate

Scoring Format: Total aggregate goals (similar to MLS Playoffs)
*If score is tied at the end of the second game, teams will play 2 extra time periods (length depedent on age group) in their entirety (No ’golden goal’).  If still tied after extra time, teams will proceed to kicks from the penalty mark.

Fee: $200/team

Eligible players must have been on the team’s final Fall roster and the club pass may be used based on Fall registration.

SPL Labor Day Event - September 1-3, 2012 - Auburndale, Florida
The SPL games for Labor Day weekend, September 1-3 will be played at Lake Myrtle Park located at 905 Lake Myrtle Park Rd. in Auburndale, FL
Updated 2012 SPL and PLW League Information
USYS Region III Southern Regional Premier League (SPL) and the USYS Region III Sub-Regional Premier League West (PLW) have finalized the list of accepted teams.

You should pay your registration fee as documented below. The Region fee and the STYSA fee have been combined on the competition. The full fee, made payable to South Texas Youth Soccer, is due in the STYSA State Office no later than August 15, 2012. 
 
USYS Region III Southern Regional Premier League (SPL) - $1,500.00
USYS Region III Sub-Regional Premier League West (PLW) - $1,150.00
 
Team Core Policies still apply this year while also allowing the use of Club Player Passes.
 
Roster freeze for Region III SPL/PLW is August 4, 2012. Please ensure that you have completed the registration of all players by that date as changes will not be allowed once rosters are locked. 
 
SCHEDULES
SPL league competition:
September 1, 2, & 3 – All SPLW1, SPLW2 & SPLW3 teams will play SPLE1, SPLE2 & SPLE3 in Florida Lakes, Florida
 
If your team is identified as SPLW1 or SPLW2, you will play SPL Central 1 and 2 on September 29 & 30 in Edmund, Oklahoma
 
If your team is identified as SPLW3you will play SPL Central 1 and 2 on August 18/19 at Mike Burns Park in Memphis, Tennessee
 
PLW league competition:
PLW games will be played starting September 8 and conclude on November 11 – excluding any rainout dates. Games involving South Texas vs South Texas teams will play on the open weekends – recognizing the dates above and below as schedule conflicts with travel dates.
 
Teams will travel to Oklahoma on the following dates:
Boys – October 6/7                       Girls – September 8/9
 
Teams will travel to North Texas on the following dates:
Boys – October 27/28                  Girls – November 10/11
