GK Program

 

Description

STYSA goalkeeping program is designed for goalkeepers to learn and improve basic handling, diving, dealing with high shots, communication, distribution, breakaway saves, decision making in 1V1 situations and crosses.

 

Purpose

To develop youth goalkeepers by teaching correct and safe shot stopping techniques, checking for understanding of their role on the field and how to effectively communicate to their teammates.

Clinic Schedule*

Day 1 Sessions

8:15-8:45am      Check-in

9:00-10:15         U9-U11 Set position, Basic Handling & Shot Stopping

10:15-10:45       U9-U18  Chalktalk Ball Line, Cutting Angles & Communication

10:45-12:00       U12-U18 Set position, Basic Handling & Shot Stopping

12:00-1:15         Lunch

1:30-2:45           U9-U11 Diving & Distribution

3:00-4:15           U12-18 Diving & Distribution

 

Day 2 Sessions

  8:15-8:45           Check-in

  9:00-10:15          U9-U11 Footwork, Low crosses (3 goal situations)

            10:15-10:45        U9-U18  Chalktalk Goalkeeping Presence, Positioning

  10:45-12:00        U12-U18 Footwork, Low crosses (3 goal situation)

            12:00-1:15          Lunch             

            1:30-2:45            U9-U11 High Crosses & Distribution

            3:00-4:15            U12-18 High Crosses & Distribution
