OSA Establishes Tornado Relief Fund
100% of all donations will go to OSA club members (click here)
The tragedy of Monday, May 20 will affect the lives of nearly every Oklahoma soccer player especially in the light of two of our nine-year-old players who were killed inside the Plaza Towers Elementary School. Kyle Davis and Nicholas McCabe were under 9’s playing for South Lakes Soccer Club. Many of our players have lost all their equipment and personal belongings after the tornado destroyed their homes.
In response to the event, Oklahoma Soccer Association has established the OSA Tornado Relief Fund account with 1st Fidelity Bank in Oklahoma City. 1st Fidelity has created a dedicated account to accept donations in which 100% of all monies collected will be distributed by OSA to the affected soccer clubs in Oklahoma for their disbursement based on their members’ needs. It is OSA’s determination that the clubs are the best determiners of who in their club will most need funds.
Two methods of donating are available to the OSA membership:
1. Mail a check to First Fidelity Bank at P.O. Box 270725, Oklahoma City, OK 73137 made out to OSA Tornado Relief Fund
An online link will be posted on the OSA web site and Facebook pages for donations to the Relief Fund. OSA will continue efforts to provide assistance to these clubs in as many ways as possible during the following months. A number of possible activities have been proposed including a blood drive, donation drives, and benefits. All of those will be publicized and announced for both members and the general public.
There are several clubs outside the Moore and Oklahoma City areas that were also struck by the tornados on Monday. OSA will work with those clubs as well to provide funding for their members affected by the storms.
We thank you for your concern and prayers for our members affected by this horror. Your support at this time is sincerely appreciated.
100% of all monies collected will be donated.
