As many of you are aware, STYSA seeks to recognize individuals each year who have made significant contributions to South Texas Youth Soccer. This recognition comes through two different types of awards:
- The People of the Year which honors a male and female coach, a male and female youth referee, a scholar athlete and the STYSA Volunteer of the Year. These awards are intended to select an individual who has made a significant impact to our soccer community over the last year. Nominations for People of the Year awards are open to any member and the nomination forms can be found at http://www.stxsoccer.org/Publications/297951.html#.U1Eylt9OWpq. Nominations for this award should be submitted by the June 1, 2014 deadline so that sufficient time can be provide to review the candidates.
- The Hall of Fame which recognizes individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions at the STYSA or Member Association level through their dedication and effort over a period of time. Candidates may be nominated by any STYSA Member Association after they have served the youth a minimum of 10 years, in any capacity, at an Association level or higher in South Texas. Additional information about the award can be found at http://www.stxsoccer.org/About/Fame/index_E.html. Please submit any Hall of Fame nominations no later than June 1, 2014.
Please nominate deserving individuals for the People of the Year awards and consider whether you have someone within your association that should be considered for induction into the STYSA Hall of Fame.
