South Texas Youth Soccer presents the Eastern District Players League. The Players League offers playing opportunities for competitive teams in Houston and the surrounding areas of the Eastern District and serves as the qualifying league for entry into other South Texas & USYS competitions. STX Youth Soccer manages all operations of the league including rules of play, registration, scheduling and field usage, disciplinary sanctions, and referee assignments.
The Players League exclusively hosts all the Eastern District Division I and Super II levels of play, including boys and girls teams from the 11U through 19U age groups.
League information is being communicated to each team's rostered coach and manager in GotSport. Please work with your club's registrar to ensure your team's contacts are rostered to ensure they receive pertinent information before the season kicks off.
STX Soccer and the Eastern District Players League are excited to host the Eastern Developmental Spring League (EDSL) again this spring. The EDSL is hosted under the Players League for all interested 15U–19U teams who participated in the Fall 2023 seasons of the Division 2 League (D2L), Players League, or State Classic League (SCL).
The EDSL was created to give our member clubs more flexibility to field high-school aged teams in the spring when many players are also competing with their local high school in the University Interscholastic League (UIL). The EDSL is provided for clubs wanting a competitive league for their older teams prior to STX Soccer Spring Cups.
