Welcome to the Eastern District Players League operated by South Texas Youth Soccer. The Players League offers playing opportunities for competitive teams in Houston and the surrounding areas of the Eastern District and serves as the qualifying league for entry into other South Texas & USYS competitions. STX Youth Soccer manages all operations of the league including rules of play, registration, scheduling and field usage, disciplinary sanctions, and referee assignments. The Players League hosts a comprehensive platform for boys’ and girls’ teams in the 11U-19U age groups. The Players League proudly offers multiple divisions, including Division I, Super 2, and recently added Division II.
EASTERN DISTRICT PLAYERS LEAGUE INFORMATION
DIVISION I / SUPER 2
The Division I/Super 2 Players League is designed for high-level competitive teams seeking to compete against similarly skilled opponents and aim for advancement to the state level (SCL). This level of play is not open to all teams; new teams must apply through the Request for Consideration (RFC) process during July and January or be promoted from Division II through the league’s promotion and relegation structure. Lower Super 2 teams are eligible to participate in the Directors Cup, while Division I and higher Super 2 teams can compete in the Presidents Cup during the spring. Please note that some 11U-13U teams in Division I brackets will be subject to seeding into the State Cup.
DIVISION II
Division II offers an open competition for teams transitioning from a recreational setting to a more competitive environment. It serves as the initial South Texas league competition pathway for teams aiming to advance to higher levels of district competition. Division II teams are eligible to participate in STX Soccer championship events, including the Fall Championships in December and the South Texas Cup in the spring.

The Eastern District Players League follows a per game fee structure for both the Fall and Spring portions of the seasonal year. All teams must complete payment of their team’s games by the coinciding date listed in the Payment Policy and the League Calendar.
