


About state cup
South Texas State Cup, part of the US Youth Soccer National Championships, is the highest level of competition in the South Texas Spring Cup Series. It is an open entry competition for South Texas Youth Soccer registered teams in the 11U to 19U age groups who competed in a South Texas Youth Soccer Association qualifying league. Top Division I teams are typically defined as teams playing in the US Youth Soccer National League Frontier Conference (Premier I and FDL), State Classic League (SCL), and the 11U-13U Division I teams competing in the EDPL Division I or WDDOA Prime league brackets.

Age Groups: 11U-18/19U Boys | 11U-18/19U Girls Teams
Level of Play: Division I
Event Format: Multi-stage tournament where accepted teams will compete in district playoffs scheduled like league play over multiple weekends; typically, district playoff finalists from each competing age group advance to State Finals. State Finals is held over a single weekend at a pre-determined location.

SEEDING LIST
South Texas Teams competing in Top Division I level of play leagues for their age group are to be seeded into State Cup based on their league standings. Non-seeded teams interested in competing in State Cup should register through the Challenge Bracket (see below).

Teams advancing to State Finals are required to attend In Person Check-In on the Friday of the State Finals weekend.
DISTRICT PLAYOFF SCHEDULE & LOCATIONS

STATE FINALS TEAM CHECK-IN

STATE FINALS FORMAT
Teams will play round-robin within their age group, typically one game per day Saturday through Monday (pending field availability and inclement weather). Schedule requests will NOT be accepted.
Award ceremonies to take place following the final match for each age group for both the Champion and Finalist teams.
About USYS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
US Youth Soccer National Championships, presented by New York Life, cap a yearlong series of competitions for boys and girls teams in multiple age brackets as teams earn their way from the top teams in their state to the national championships. The champions in the 13U through 18U/19U age brackets from each state cup event will converge in July for the US Youth Soccer National Championships presented by New York Life.
