Education & Licensing

Through the U.S. Soccer Coaching License Pathway, STX Youth Soccer is committed to providing all coaches, from beginner to advanced, with education tailored to their experiences and the needs of their players. The Coaching License Pathway consists of a series of courses designed to meet the specific needs of a coach every step of the way.

The U.S. Soccer Learning Center serves as the online educational platform where coaches can register for courses, take online classes, create session plans and more. It’s also your home for course announcements, registration, payment, assignments, communication and collaboration.

HOST A COACHING COURSE

Associations or clubs that wish to host a US Soccer Grassroots, D or C Course can request to do so by completing this course request form.  Course hosts must meet the minimum requirements outlined here.

FROM GRASSROOTS AND BEYOND

Future coaches can begin their learning with the Grassroots Pathway and a free “Introduction to Grassroots Coaching” online course.

Intro in hand, you are free to choose any of the grassroots courses that meet your needs. Whether you are just getting started or coaching 11v11 there is an online and in-person course right for you.

To take the D course, you’ll need at least two (2) grassroots in-person courses and one (1) online license. After the D, one must have held a U.S. Soccer D license for at least 6 months OR meet the U.S. Soccer waiver guidelines.
